Complete HVAC

Demolition and replacing the HVAC cooling system, MEP upgrades to the data center’s north and south switch rooms for Verizon in Salisbury, MD. Interior modifications and improvements were included in the project, including interior renovations to the switch room, which had fire-rated plywood and new fire-safe rated steel doors installed.

Mid Atlantic Contracting is trained and experienced to work in mission-critical environments. Our highly technical and skilled team operates with the highest integrity and is familiar with cleanroom construction protocol and practices.

Jobsite safety protocols included: (not limited to)

  • Install temporary walls in front of the rectifier to prevent debris fields from entering the chamber
  • HEPA vacuums and filters
  • Drywall mitigation
  • Sticky mats at placed at exits and entrances
  • Regular sweeping and mopping of floors
  • Erected protection walls around work areas
  • Construct mobile protection platforms to be placed over individual condensers while working overhead, allowing the condenser to breathe while protected.
  • Dismantle fire-resistant framing one piece at a time
  • Maintain airflow requirements for the Rectifier and Inverter Equipment

 

 

The ongoing general contractor of choice for the Verizon Data Center in Salisbury, Maryland. Since construction, Mid Atlantic Contracting has been involved with multiple upgrades and modifications to the center, including concrete pad for heavy equipment, secure room construction, installation of back up batteries to the switch, and other miscellaneous maintenance services.
